Ron Suffredini
Ron was my main man towards the end of my stay in CA. I met him when I was in need of a stand up bassist for my swing band, and we immediately became good friends. He's one of the best electric and acoustic stand up bassists I know, and a great singer. Been a while since we've played together, and I miss him. No need to take him off the website.

Ron is a versatile bassist/vocalist/songwriter whose musical vocabulary spans across many genres of music, both classical and contemporary. Having received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Double Bass Performance from The California State University at Northridge in the Spring of 1993, Ron has since toured the globe and appeared on national television playing and singing with many of the entertainers and popular figures in contemporary music of today including the acclaimed writer/producer David Foster, Disco/R&B sensation Donna Summer, smooth jazz saxophonist Kenny G, the Jump-Swinging sensation Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, R&B/Jazz crooner Bobby Caldwell, entertainer Tony Danza, and the late Gary Crosby, to name but a few. An accomplished writer as well, Ron's music compositional abilities are documented on the soundtrack to the Romantic-Comedy feature film Labor Pains starring Rob Morrow, Kyra Sedgewick and Mary Tyler-Moore.

Most recently, Ron has appeared with jazz-swingers Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on the NBC and ESPN televison networks in "The Star Skates Ice Jam" and "The 2000 ESPY Awards" respectively. Ron and the band performed at "The Star Skates Ice Jam" (featuring world-class Olympic figure skaters Katerina Witt and Oksana Baiul) alongside Joey McIntyre and Pop/R&B divas En Vogue. "The 2000 ESPY Awards", televised from the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in the heart of Las Vegas, featured Ron and the band as the host ensemble, providing the musical backdrop for that most magical night in sports pageantry which that year awarded Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Wayne Gretzsky with top honors for their respective achievements in professional sports.

Also in the way of television, Ron can be heard on the sountrack to the new Fox situation/comedy Andy Richter Controls the Universe starring former “Late Night with Conan O’ Brien” sidekick Andy Richter himself and on the Showtime Network Film The Baby Dance, produced by Jodie Foster and starring Laura Dern and Stockard Channing. Ron is also credited with various source music selections and session duty on the current hit CBS show Jag--Judge Advocate General.
